After
market inks recomendation.
Ilford's
Archiva inks are probably the most popular after-market
inks for wide format inkjet printers. Now Van Son Holland
Ink Corporation of America has introduced their own
brand of inks for wide format inkjet printers. Staedtler
is another popular ink company. DicoJet makes a great
ink but one Encad user says the DicoJet ink clogged
his Encad printheads quickly, especially the DicoJet
yellow.
Since
the older models of Encad NovaJet printers have open
ink containers, just clean out the old ink and pour
in the new ink.
I
had already known the respected name of Van Son Ink
Corporation from attending printing trade shows over
the years. The name of Van Son brings with it the highest
ranking of professional inks for the printing industry.
At GraphExpo in Chicago it was quite clear that their
new inks for digital wide format printers would be a
great success.
Ilford
did not exhibit at GraphExpo, so Van Son Ink had the
entire market to itself for the tens of thousands of
eager buyers. Van Son "ArtColour" inks offer
to improve the visual DPI beyond the actual DPI rating
of the printer. Van Son ArtColour inks work in printers
from Encad,
Epson,
Hewlett
Packard, Ilford,
Kodak,
Oce,and
Xerox.
Just
as soon as we receive some Van Son ink to try out we
will show you the colorful results using all kinds of
exotic images from Latin America. Our photo crew is
busy in Guatemala getting images specially to show off
nicely in wide format inkjet.
In
the meantime we have heard about better results from
Staedtler Inks. Staedtler is a large and experienced
German ink company. The Staedtler inks are used worldwide.
